Experimentation in a one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) manner is ineffective and sometimes delivers misleading results.
DOE requires only a minimal number of runs to study several factors and identify the variables' interactions. By this method, you make changes to input variables of the process to observe the output's effects. It leads you to understand the process enormously, thus enhancing the product quality (i.e., metal grade and recovery), lowering costs, and increasing profits!
